Hello,
Whenever it comes to deciding on a holiday location, I always prefer a beach holiday to a mountain vacation. As I am leaving for a beach holiday soon, I thought I would list my top 10 must-haves for a beach holiday.
Here are a few things you must carry on a tropical holiday:
1. Hat/cap- For a tropical holiday, one can't do with a straw hat, not only does it protect you the killing sun but also looks fantastic paired with the sundresses and maxis. Not to mention, for a no-makeup day, hats are a lifesaver. For men, a cap does the job.
2. Swimwear- You just can't go on a tropical vacation with a sexy swimsuit. For a week-long vacation, I suggest taking 2 swimsuits, of different styles and colors, maybe a print and a plain. Same for men, pack 2-3 swimming trunks of bright colors or fun prints.
3. Sunglasses- Now sunglasses are not only going to protect your eyes but are again a great accessory for no makeup days and for pictures. Always carry 2 different styles of sunglasses. I am loving the little sunglasses trend.
4. Slippers/Flip Flops- For a beach day, nobody wants to bother about spoiling a good pair of shoes. A good pair of flipflops is a must so that one can play and run in water as much as they want.
5. Bag pack- For any kind of travel, its good to bring a bag pack along. One can stuff everything from camera to lip balm and still be handsfree. For beach swim day a straw bag is also a good option.
6. Ziplock bags- I always bring a bunch of ziplock bags along on a tropical vacation. Before heading for beach fun, zipping all the valuables likes phones, watches, id card and jewellery in a ziplock before splashing in water is a great way to ensure everything is safe.
7. Denim Shorts- Carrying a pair of denim shorts is a must for a beach holiday. Not only does it go well with everything but is super comfortable to wear to the beach for water sports.
8. Coverup/ kimono- Tropical holiday means a lot of playing in the water, be it ocean or pool, you need a coverup or an oversized dress or a kimono to wear over your bikini while you are pool and beach hopping.
9. Hair serum/ Anti-frizz spray- With all the moisture in the sit, no matter how long or short your hair is, they tend to go crazy. The frizz can lead to hair tangling which can lead to breakage. So make sure to carry a serum or anti-freeze spray.
10. Sunscreen- Last and the most important of all, it is very important to pack a sunscreen in your handbag and luggage too! Slather as much as you can to avoid the sunburn. Remember you need just the tan, not the damage, freckles and burns.
With these travel must-haves for a tropical vacation, you can totally rock your beach holiday without worrying about tanning or phones getting all drenched in water.
