Hello,
India which is known for so many things some good some bad; but it is the most diverse country. People from north to south and East to West are very different but still very alike. We all have our own way of living and celebrating but one thread that binds us all together is our appetite to live life and eat good food! Where we are all done with Diwali, a part of India is all ready to celebrate Chhat. Here is my vision of Chhat outfit, a handmade saree and off shoulder blouse!
The element of diversity is unique to India. When you start moving from north to south or east to west your eyes will pass through so many different colors.
Colors is not only on your dresses but the skin shade, the mud shade, the soil shade, the trees, the plants, the flowers everything, on one hand, you may see colorful turbans whereas the other side portrays the simplicity of white dhoti, some shows flowers, jewellery which attracts by the colour of mogra the other gives a flavoring of gold. Life in India is all about color and its significance. Color plays an important role in different religions too. For our Muslim brothers, the good sign of color is “black” whereas for Christians it is “white”.. when focused on the Hindus they think the good color is “red”.
Color is also seen in the way we live. Our festivals and larger than life celebrations is something that you can not find anywhere else!
Although I personally don't celebrate Chhat I so wanted to put together an Indian outfit for a Pooja that one can literally wear every day or can use it as going to temple outfit! This Galang Gabaan with little hearts depicts a modern Indian girl perfectly. I paired it with an off shoulder crop top to add a little dash of understated glam!
