Hello,
We all need a little break every now and then! Rather than waking up to the sound of alarm buzzing on our head we want to wake up to a beautiful mountain view. It's not always possible to drive down to hill in search of natural beauty. The Lalit Mangar bridged the gap by bringing hills to us. Just 1.5 away from Delhi, The Lalit mangar is nestled in the middle of Mangar Bani Valley, The Lalit Mangar is an experiential 5-star hotel.
As soon as we got the news that Lalit group is coming up with a new property near Faridabad, we knew that we just have to visit soon.
The Lalit Mangar located in the middle of the valley is surrounded with mountains on all sides. Keeping the natural, rural vibe intact, the hotel is exquisitely designed with natural raw materials like earth chalk and gravel in layers.
We were picked up by the car and driven to The Lalit Mangar. The drive was smooth, I loved the our little drive in hills. As soon as we reached, we were welcomed with our welcomed drinks. I picked cinnamon water which was quote unique.
We were then taken to our rooms and on the way we saw some khats and a little vendor about which I will talk about soon. So rooms or shall I say, our Luxury Suite had the same earthy architecture, walls have a rocky finish.
On bed a cute little a deer was waiting to welcome was. On one side of bed was this beautiful view of the valley and I was lucky that I woke up to that view for two days.
We started our stay at The Lalit with some lunch at their restaurant which was just Delicious! The fact that everything is home grown and picked fresh reflected in every bite of the food. Their veggie burger and humus platter are just 👌🏻
For main course we went for Indian Food and the Black lentil (dal kakhni) was bomb. They served it with freshly made coriander chutney and aalo kulchas which we eat inhaled.
There are little thing that count and Lalit group left no stone unturned. To make sure that their guests are entertained and got the taste of the culture, they arranged a traditional music and dance arranged for us. With some yummy-yummy tandoori snacks, we loved the dance on this beautiful starry night.
After music and dance, it was time to learn pottery. The Lalit Mangar has a in house pottery class for all their guests. All I can say is that its not as easy as it looks. Making pots and diya's that looked like all jacked up we had the best time.
Later that night we got room service, ordered almost the items and eat them in our balcony. We ate Caesar salad with almost every meal, it was hands down one of the best Caesar salad I have ever had.
Next morning we woke up to the sound of rain. It was our chill day. We took pictures, ate and relaxed in the cool breeze (thankfully weather was amazing)
Before heading back to Delhi, we decided to get a full body massage, you can read about my experience in my post Time Reversal Spa- The Lalit Mangar
On our way back, we stopped by the valley to have a quick look at the Mangar Village, it was beautiful!
After a few pics, we hopped into our car and off we were.
It was great staying with The Lalit Mangar. If you are looking for a quick 2 day trip and don't have the time and the energy to drive for hours, The Lalit Mangar is a great option!
