Whenever I travel, I always try to cover all the historical places just to understand the architecture. When I was in Goa, I got to live in the real Goan Fort, Fort Tiracol Heritage Hotel located on the north most tip of Goa.
Straight from the hustling-bustling north Goa, we took a cab to Fort Tiracol which is located on a secluded island.
It was a 3 hour drive in total, after 2 hours we reached Agonda beach from where our car went in a ferry ( totally loved 20 minutes of cool breeze and blue sea) and then about 1 hour drive again to the Fort.
The moment you reach Tiracol Fort, I felt as I am stepping into Ancient Portuguese Goan history. High walls, green lawns and huge doors welcome the Heritage hotel guests and other visitors with open arms.
We stayed in 'Thursday' a beautiful royal room. Have to say one of the fanciest and comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
Fort and all the rooms still have that same vibe, rooms are just renovated a bit by adding a few modern necessities for a comfortable stay.
Room had a little balcony & spacious bathroom with markup mirror and running hot and cold water.
But the best part of this fort is their roof which has a beautiful space view and this is where we had our breakfast.
We loved the experience of staying in a Fort for the day, definitely gave Royal Feel, just wish they had more vegetation food options! 🙈
What a wonderful place, I need to go here :) x
