Alila Diwa- South Goa

Hello, When we talk Goa, people can have two different perspective on how they want their trip to be! A lot of people like the hustling-busting north Goa and its party culture and then there are others who like the beauty in silence of South Goa! I like the best of both worlds, so after spending a few days in North, we decided to end our trip in Alila Diwa Goa, a serene lush green property hidden in South Goa.

Being a history lover, I like to explore the lanes of south Goa that still reflect their colonial past, architecture that is standing high representing its Portuguese roots and soulful foods that are a perfect blend of east and west. Located in this heaven is Alila Diwa. Just 20 minutes from Goa Dabolim Airport, Alila Diwa Goa is a set by the lush paddy fields and bring that Goan vibe to life. With its contemporary Goan architecture, spacious verandas and high pitch roofs, it literally feels like a palace equipped with all 5 star amenities. As soon as we reached Alila, we were warmly welcomed with some Chilled drinks and sweet smiles. The moment we reached our room, we were totally blown away by how spacious it was. Clean details of furniture, beautiful lighting and magical view totally worn our hearts. And how can I not mention the amazing bathroom, I totally appreciate that huge bath tub and a good mirror!

We decided to take a property tour and OMG! Its HUGE! So many hidden path, different wings, gardens, 2 huge pools, Private Mini Theater, Kids Club, Teen Zone, Spa and 4 restaurants, it took us a lot of time to go around it, so much so that we stopped by BISTRO for some snacks or Chai-Pani as they like to call it! 😊 Chat with chai was just 👌🏻 As we were dying to go to a beach, after snacking, we straight up went to Majorda Beach which us at walking distance from Alila but they do offer shuttle service to the beach and back. Ended our long, tiering but fulfilled day, with continental dinner at Bistro. Loved their Ravioli but Dessert was to die for!

Next morning after a lavish breakfast, we decided to just chill in our room, had some coffee in our lovely balcony and absorbed our view. It took us some time, but we managed to drag ourselves out of the room, to go for our Goan Experience that was specially arranged by Alila Diwa. People at Alila believe in making their gusts stay memorable by giving them the real taste of GOA. They arrange this tour called Alila Experience and ofcof course went for it. We were taken to shop for fresh fishes and veggies and then taught how to cook them in Goan style!

After our cooking adventure, we went to grab some lunch to Martin's which is at walking distance and then forfordip in their infinity pool! Sundown in the pool with some sangrias hand was just perfect, I can't wait to go back! Did I mention how Sangriare d ivered in the pool by Edge Bar and Lounge and glasses were floating! Yes, floating glasses! Ended the night with some Indian dinner at VIVO and loved every bit of it . On our last day we had a early morning spa appointment about which I will be writing a separate post soon!
