As we are hot and sweaty, the only thing we reach for is a chilled drink thinking that its the best for out body. Bit do you know there are drinks that must avoid during summer, these drinks add to the issues and make it worse.
Here are 3 cold drunks that one must avoid during those hot summer months:
1. Tea and Coffee- Drinking caffeine on a hot summer day increases the risk of dehydration. No matter if you are consuming it iced, make sure you drink more water to balance it out. Using Caffeinated drink as only source of fluid can worsen your problem.
2. Sodas: Using soft drinks to rehydrate actually worsens dehydration and increases kidney injuries. Sodas increase risk of diabetes and poor dental health too.
3. Alcohol : alcohol contributes to increased urine output, which ups the risk of dehydration. So matter how much you are craving for some beer, avoid it completely.
So next time you are hot and need a cold drink, just get yourself some water, it will satisfy your thrust without having any harmful effects on your body.
