Amazon India Fashion Week 2016 Day 1

Hey Sweeties,

Its that time of the year again, when all we fashion lovers gather at one place and appreciate the creativity of all the designers who work super hard to bring us the latest trends. Yes, Its time for Amazon India Fashion week Autumn Winter 2016. Truly blessed to have got the opportunity to witness all the action live from the media strand. So lets start with highlights from all the show from day 1.

The opening show was by Varun Bhel's collection called Nocturne. He tried to recreate a dream world, a jungle where owls peep out from flowering hydrangeas, place were there are blooms and busts of pomegranate. He borrowed colors from forest flowers and the trees. The clean cuts and mild colors and beautiful embroidery was the highlight of the collection. Though I missed something in the collection ( not sure what) the heavily embodied bomber jackets totally stole my heart.

Next Collection was Akaaro by Gaurav Jai Gupta. The collection is a perfect cross of fashion, comfort and practicality. Its made from hand-woven reversible fabrics developed with fine blends of cotton zari, silk and stainless steal. The collection had muted shimmers, brocades and very retro cuts. The layering, unexpected pairing of textures and fabric was the highlight if the look.

Finally it was tome for the shows that I was really looking forward to. Lets start with Hament and Nandita. I wish I could just bring every garment home. The collection had very British fall styles and colors. Right from metallic pants and coats combo, to slit skirt , from wide legged pants paired with embroided bomber jackets to heavily embroided long coats, this collection has it all.

Then It was time for Shantanu & Nikhil, the duo who always manage to leave everybody in aww. Their Autumn Winter collection is called The Last Walk.The collection looked like a dream, classic cuts, elegant colors and just the best use of drapes. The due took their inspiration from women of different corridors of life, her moods and her personality.

Quite a day it was. With full house, all filled with people who are interlinked with this common passion ' FASHION ', who take clothes very seriously. Some who design them and some who just love to style and add their personal touch to every garment. It was just very heart warming to see how different people from all walks of life cane together to celebrate Fashion in form of  Amazon India Fashion week Autumn Winter 2016.
