Hello Everybody,

Wishing all my fellow Indians a very happy republic day , so proud to be a Indian. The land of so many religions, languages and cultures that not only co-exist but also celebrate in each joys. A land where we get super crazy on Diwali and go even a step further on christmas.

Today is India's 67th Republic day and it gives me a lot of pride to see how far we have come in last 67 years. We all crip that we don't have this or that , we compare ourselves to the developed nations, but have you ever taken a moment and reflected on past! Have you even discussed how it was like when your grand father was a teenager !

My grandfather is a freedom fighter, so there is so need to say that we all are not only super patriotic but also very appreciative of what are country has given us.

When I hear his experience of the freedom movement and how he was sent to jail when he was heading his collage for freedom movement from meerut, it gives me shivers. It is heartbreaking to hear how we in our own county was considered as a second class citizen. Now after 67 years, we are living a free life, no one can tell us what to do and where to go.

Not trying to say that everything is a bed of roses here , nor am I trying to prove that we have everything, there sure are a lot of problem but one thing that we have, that nothing else can replace is freedom.
We might not have all the luxuries of the world but now we own our paradise and lets all come together to make things better.
Lets all take pride in our heritage and culture and add a few more sparkles to our motherland India. Happy Republic Day
