Hey doll's
Today's home remedy is very special. It takes me back to my childhood.
I lost my father 17 years back and all I am living on is my his memories.
My daddy was very warm, loving and full of joy. I have so many hobbies that I have inherited from him.
As I was very young when I lost him, I don't remember a lot, just few blur images and memories.
Ahh, just realized I went on some other tangent.
I was talking to my mum a few days back and asked her ' mum what did daddy use on our skin when we were young, our skin was so soft'. I have vague memories of him giving us a massage.
She told me his moisturizer recipe and here it is.
All you need is:
1) Glycerin
2) Rose Water
3) Lime Juice
Let's get into it:
1) Mix glyerin and rose water in equal quantities.
( 250 ml glycerin + 250 ml rose water)
2) Add a few drops of lime juice ( 1- 1.5 lime in my case)
3) Shake it well and apply it every night before bed.
Me and my family started using it again after ages. We use it on the entire body.I feel my skin is baby soft even though its getting cold and air is dry , but no dry skin.
My mum has noticed a huge difference in her ageing makes on hands. I wish I had taken some before pics to show.
It works very well on men as well . My brother likes it as well.
We did not notice any side effects . But please do read the contents of glistrin to check if you are allergic to any .
It is not sticky or anything.
I love this moisturiser and will be using it regularly.
Hope this post was useful for you. :)
Love,
Pooja Mittal

Sorry for your loss Pooja. But know that he is watching from heaven above and is always with you. Losing a parent must be so hard and must have been very difficult for your mum. Stay strong girl and live life to the fullest and always keep smiling.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you and your family in prayers.
I have been trying home made recipes as the weather is getting chilly and the skin is getting dry. I have been using lemon in my recipes as well. This is a quick one, will try when i get glycerin.
Take care xx

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to read about your dad, dear... But apparently you have plenty of wonderful memories of him and he sounds like a great man - he sure was very attentive giving you kids massages and taking care of you like he did. This really seems like an incredible skin product and I'm really intrigued to try it out myself, babe!
