Hey sweeties,
This post took me forever to upload, my internet is driving me crazy.
I am trying from last night to upload pics but..
Finally , I succeeded and here is my post on no heat wavy hair.
I have told you guys a zillion times that the only thing I like about myself hair and I try to rake care of them.
Having that said , I try and avoid heat on hair but I am a human , who loves yo try new hairstyles and curl hair.
Today I am going to share how I do heat free wavy hair. A lot of you probably know this trick but I still though there no harm in showing how I do it.
So lets start.
1) Start with freshly washed wet hair. De-tangle them with a wide tooth comb ( I dont comb wet hair generally , but only for this tutorial) . Ties half of then up.
2) Now the loose hair in three parts and make three braids . If you want your ends to be wavy too then tie then as shown in the pic. Repeat the same process on the complete head.
I made 7 braids.
If you have bangs braid then separately. For layered hair, I suggest to start braiding and tie when you run out of one piece , then braid again .
3) Let the hair dry in braids for 3-4 hours and open them. I like to sleep with the braids and open them in the morning so that my waves stay on for long.
Don't worry of your hair look too wavy , just run your fingers through then and you are done. :)
I have not opened by running my fingers through it as I had to go out in evening and I wanted them to stay in place for long time.
Sometimes I do just 4 braids on entire head to do loose beach relaxed waves.
The best thing is that these waves stay for 2 days without any hairspray , which is excellent for silky straight hair like mine.
I do these waves when I want to do a bohemian hairstyle Sometimes I go for no heat curls which I'll show some other time.
Lemeno if you have any such trick which involves no heat.. :)

Wow your hair is amazing. Super long. I have long thick hair too and I do the same thing when I want to have curly hair. I let it overnight. But just 2 parts and spray it with hairspray.
ReplyDeleteOh btw, we both have the same background!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your hair looks stunning. I always wave my hair using heat so I will have to try this!

I thought I am the only one having issues with internet but seems the same across the board. I hate to use the hair dryer too unless I am really in a rush. I like what you did. In fact, I have tried this style before, that being long time ago.
ReplyDeleteCertainly its a nice way of adding another look to straight hair and I will do it when I have a function to attend. I usually apply some mousse or styling gel over and scrunch after removing the braids.
Great result, love your hair!
