Hello Cutipies,
Today I was clearing my closet. It was such a mess, and clear it every 10 - 15 days. If I don't clear it with 15 days then I cant fond anything and everything becomes a huge pile, rather then being on the hangers.
Well today when I was clearing I saw my Moth Sachets that I make to protect my cloths from moths.
Yes, I make them. The ready made ones have so many chemicals that are bad for us.
I thought I should share how I make them with you guys. My mum told me how to make them.
I will be telling you to make both moth spray and moth sachets.
Moth Spray:
Mix 1/4 cup of neem oil to 1/2 gallon of distil water . Pour this mixture in a spray bottle and shake well before spraying.
This spray is very effective on clothes which already have moths.
Moth Sachets:
1) Mix equal quantities of grounded cloves and black pepper.
2) Take some neem leaves and dry them. Use these dry leaves alone or with other ingredients mentioned below.
3) Mix -
a) 2 ounces of rosemary and mint
b) 1 ounce of dry thyme and ginseng
c) 8 ounces of whole cloves.
Choose any of the above mentioned and put it into a sachet. You can use any of the following fabric-
1) Cotton
2) Muslin
3) Lilin
If you have no time then just take a handkerchief , put sine of the mixture in centre and tie all the four corners together.
Other things that can be used to make moth sachets are:
1) Dried orange peel
2) Dried lemon peel
3) Cinnamon sticks
4) Dried Lavander
I love using neem tree leaves and oil as neem leaves and fruits fend off 200 species of moths and insects.
These sachets are very easy to make and are very effective too. My mum has been using this forever.
You can put then in your drawers and closets, it wont smell bad and will protect your clothes from insects.
Thanks a lot for your time.
Hope you liked my post.
Love,
Pooja Mittal
