Home Remedies for Dandruff

Hey friends,

Today we are going to talk about a very common problem that all of us have faced some time or other in our life.

Its DANDRUFF .  Eewwee guys..

Its such a problem because dandruff leads to many other problems like hair-fall, stickiness in hair etc..

Its can embarrass us publicly ,so it is very important to take precautions to avoid it and corrective actions to cure it.
The anti dandruff products available in stores are so costly and are of no use. In my opinion Home remedies work much better.
yes, you can actually treat dandruff with thing already available in our kitchen.

But first to avoid dandruff we must keep our hair clean. Must wash them as and when required.

Home remedies for dandruff:

1) Lemon: Squeeze a lemon in a bowl. Apply it all over the scalp and also on hair. Massage well. Leave for 45 min to 1 hr. Wash and condition. Use once a week.

I have quite long hair so I use one and a half lemon.

A lemon when used to treat dandruff ,not only washes it in one go but also conditions our hair 

2) Vinegar: Use white vinegar to treat dandruff.
Take some vinegar in a bowl and apply it in the roots of hair with fingertips or cotton. Apply a little in hair and massage well. Keep  it on for 30-45 minutes maximum,not more then that . Wash off with water first on then shampoo and condition hair. Repeat the process once a week for few weeks , dandruff will be gone.

Vinegar not only clears dandruff  but also give shine to hair

3)Lemon and oil: Squeeze half a lemon in 6 teaspoon of oil. Lemon juice will float above oil. Mix really well with a spoon,keep mixing till they mix well. Apply on scalp and hair as well. Massage well. Wash after 1-2 hrs. Use at-least once a week.

Combination of lemon juice and oil such as olive ,mustard,coconut or castor works wonders for dandruff

4) Camphor and oil: Take some camphor tablets around 3-4 and crush them. Heat 6 teaspoon of any oil on low flame, I prefer either mustard oil or coconut oil for this. While oil is heating on stove add crushed camphor in it. Stir it and heat till camphor dissolves. After its done,take it off the flame and wait till the mixture cools down a bit. Apply Luke warm mixture on the scalp and all over hair. Massage well, leave it for 1-2 hrs and wash well. Use once a week for few weeks to get rid of dandruff.

Camphor combined with mustard or coconut oil  works like magic

I have tried them several times and they work well for me.

I have tried various anti-dandruff products but home remedies work the best for me.

Tip: Never scratch your scalp. I am quite sure that all we girls have long nails. So please don't scratch your head as it will break your hair and add to hair-fall. Always braid your hair after applying any of the above.
